I didn't have to take a psychosexual evaluation legally, but I did and am so glad. Not only do I know it helped the outcome of the case (it found me as low risk for recidivism and ruled out pedophilia) but it also allowed me to show people that I wasn't their worst fears. It was like finally having a professional tell people what I knew was true in my heart. As for people who are worried something "bad" will come out, if it does, don't you want to get that treated? As I was going through two in-patient rehabs and a other assessments, I just kept telling myself that whatever jail or prison sentence I got was one thing, but I was going to eventually get out and wanted to make sure I didn't reoffend. If the problem was going to be fixed, I had to know what the problem truly was.

Another great entry, Dr. Weeks. Do you mind if I put this blog into the Resources section of my site? I think many could benefit from it from it and they may bump into my site first.
