I didn’t have to take a psychosexual evaluation legally, but I did and am so glad. Not only do I know it helped the outcome of the case (it found me as low risk for recidivism and ruled out pedophilia) but it also allowed me to show people that I wasn’t their worst fears. It was like finally having a professional tell people what I knew was true in my heart. As for people who are worried something “bad” will come out, if it does, don’t you want to get that treated? As I was going through two in-patient rehabs and a other assessments, I just kept telling myself that whatever jail or prison sentence I got was one thing, but I was going to eventually get out and wanted to make sure I didn’t reoffend. If the problem was going to be fixed, I had to know what the problem truly was.

Another great entry, Dr. Weeks. Do you mind if I put this blog into the Resources section of my site? I think many could benefit from it from it and they may bump into my site first.

Please feel free to share any of these that you think may be helpful to others. So many in this situation are new to the legal system and can use sound help. If I can help I am happy to!!! Thank you for your comments
